Rosalie Miller 1951 – 2025

Rosalie Ann (Jussila) Miller, age 74, of Verndale, Minn., passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Funeral Services were held on Nov. 30, 2025, at Karvonen Funeral Home. Rosalie was laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery, Verndale, Minn.
Rosalie was born Apr. 9, 1951, at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena, to John and Ruth (Sundermeyer) Jussila. She attended Wadena Public Schools K-12 and later attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities from 1969-1970.
She met and began dating Ralph Miller after he returned to the area after serving four years in the United States Air Force. Rosalie and Ralph married on Aug. 1, 1970, at Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Wadena, Minn. To this union, two children were born, Jennifer and Jessica.
Rosalie worked at First National Bank of Verndale, Homecrest Industries, Casey’s in Wadena, and ended her working years at the Wadena County Auditor’s Office as the Elections Coordinator. Rosalie was instrumental in coordinating the production and shipping of the commercial potato production on the family farm. Rosalie served several years on the Aldrich Township board as the Township Clerk and later the Board of Supervisors.
Rosalie was a Girl Scout and later a Girl Scout leader. Rosalie has served as the Treasurer of the Central Church for several years. Rosalie was a member and served on the board of the Wadena County Historical Society.
Rosalie was a creative woman and her creativity included, cake decorating, sewing, playing piano, and singing. Her talents have been shared by many people throughout the area as she would frequently sing at events on request. She had a deep faith, love of family, friends, and country. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasures.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents: John Jussila, Ruth (Sundermeyer) Jussila, and Edith (Young) Jussila; brothers- and sisters-in law; nephews: Bradley F. and David L.; niece: Lynn R.; and treasured furry friends.
Deeply loved, Rosalie’s passing will be mourned by her husband of 55 years Ralph; children: Jennifer (Ryan) Setterstrom and Jessica (Mark) Koon; grandchildren: Axel Koon and Sydney Setterstrom; brother-in-law: Don G.; sisters-in-law: Marilyn, Audrey, Janice M., Janice F., and Norma; special friend Pedro from Portugal; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
