Robbin Lindula 1942 – 2025

Robbin Lee Lindula, age 83, of Park Rapids, Minn., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at the Crystal Brook Nursing Home in Park Rapids. The funeral service will be at 20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga, Minn., with a time of gathering an hour prior.
Robbin was born on Aug. 2, 1942, to Walter and Doris (Bykonen) Lindula in Wadena, Minn. When he was around the age of fifteen, his parents moved from Sebeka to Auburn, Wash., where he graduated from Auburn High School in June 1960. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for four years; attaining the rank of Airman First Class.
Robbin was united in marriage to Joan Loretta Tormanen on her twenty-second birthday on Oct. 8, 1966. That same year he started working as an engineer for the railroad and retired in 2008 after 42 years as a “Hoghead”. In Sept. of 2022, after 55 years of marriage, Joan passed away and Robbin returned to Minn., to be closer to family and friends. In Robbin’s spare time he gardened, cleaned his cars, fished, and birdwatched. In addition, he enjoyed collecting guns, coins, and train sets. Robbin’s Faith and love for the Lord was a big part of his life. Robbin will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor.
He is survived by his three brothers: Tim, Rick (Kim), and Chris (Martin); a sister, Fiina; a brother-in-law, Richard (Anne) Tormanen; sisters-in-law: Grace Niska, and Susan Tormanen; and many loving relatives and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents, Walter and Doris; his brother, Steve; his sister, Lynette; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Calvin Tormanen.
