Ramona Snyder 1929 – 2025

An amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Ramona Louise Elizabeth Snyder passed peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of April 11, 2025, at the age of 96. She will forever remain the queen of style, hospitality, and the best baker of chocolate chip cookies and buns. Her smile and quick wit will last a lifetime. Her greatest treasures in life were her husband, Harold “Butch” Snyder; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her Catholic faith.
Ramona is survived by her children, Jay (Jackie) Snyder, Otho Snyder and Dona, Brad (Marlene) Snyder, Tamara Ripplinger and Chris, and Amy (Trent) Schweitzer. Grandchildren: K.C. (Lynda) Snyder, Kelly (Julie) Snyder, Kyle Snyder, Everett, Amanda, and Matthew Snyder, Stacie Snyder, Tara (Kristopher) Kolkin, Tyler (Akua) Ripplinger, Jake Atencio, Madelyn Schweitzer, Victoria (Ryan) Schaefer, Joseph Schweitzer, Isabelle Schweitzer. Great grandchildren: Mackenzie (Nolan), Ty, and Taysha (Trapper) Snyder, Maddox, Morgan, and Porter Snyder, Marley Snyder, Mason Dewing, Nash Snyder, Kace and Kash Kolkin, Charlie Ripplinger, Methodius and Xenia Schaefer; her brother, David Reiser, and many nieces and nephews.
Ramona is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harold “Butch” Snyder, her mother, Theckla Reiser, brother Dan (Darlene) Reiser, and brother Leore Kowarsch.
Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Menahga, Minn. Ramona was laid to rest on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
